What is the New Zealand Diploma in Business Online?

The NZDipBus is a well established and recognised programme. It is perfect for career-minded people seeking a practical, flexible, high-quality business qualification.

To gain the New Zealand Diploma in Business Online you need to pass 12 papers. Six of the 12 papers must be chosen from a compulsory core of seven papers. These papers will usually be completed first. Of the remaining six papers, four must be completed at 600 level and two papers are your optional choice.

NZDipBus may be completed online in less than two years full-time and less than three years of part-time study. There is no prescribed time limit to complete the qualification.

What are the course entry requirements?

Domestic students

School leavers should have a maximum of 20 points in four subjects at 6th Form Certificate or 48 NCEA credits at Level 2 over four subjects.

Generally, if you are 20 years of age or older, you have direct entry.

How quickly can I complete the NZDipBus?

Full-time, under 2 years, based on completing 6 papers per year.
Part-time, under 3 years, based on completing 4 papers per year.

When do I have to complete?

There is no fixed time period from the date that you are enrolled to complete the entire NZDipBus qualification.

IT requirements

You need access to a PC with the following features:

How will I be assessed?

Typically assessment involves assignments and projects, tests and sometimes an exam which is administered face-to-face. Your course material will explain the assessment methods as they vary between the courses.
