This unit is about the obligations and duties of state sector employees with regard to the public interest, the Crown and Ministers. It also covers the constraints that are placed on state sector employees.

Learning outcomes - by the end of the course you'll be able to:

  • Describe the principles, conventions, and practice as they relate to the duty of State sector employees to the general public and to serving the public interest
  • Identify constraints to the duty of State sector employees to the Crown and Ministers;
  • Analyse a work programme, project, or new initiative in terms of the impact of the application of duties, considerations and constraints of State sector employees.
