Level 3, 5 credits

This unit looks at the purpose of the State Services Code of Conduct. It describes the Code and explains the rationale behind it. The unit also discusses the standards of integrity and conduct and the implications of the Code for a State services organisation. On completion of the unit students will be able to apply the standards of integrity and conduct within their own organisation.

Elements:
  1. Describes the NZ State Services Code of Conduct. Explains the basic concepts of the code. Looks at other codes of conduct and/or values or ethics statements within their own State Services organisation

  2. Discusses the role of the Code of Conduct within a State Services organisation. Policies and procedures of a State Services organisation are discussed.

  3. Discusses the impact of the State Services Code of Conduct for an individual State Services employee.
