BRONWEN McKay

Campus Manager Cromwell

Originally from North Otago, Bronwen McKay lived and worked in Christchurch at Lincoln College and in Palmerston North at Massey University before venturing overseas to teach English in Japan in the late 1980's.

Following a growing interest in international education and training, she spent several years in the USA and England before taking up a position with the Warsaw University of Technology in Poland in 1993. While in Poland she also became an oral examiner for the Cambridge English examinations and co-founded Goode English a company providing Business English training to employees of multi-national companies.

In 1996, Bronwen moved to Sweden where she continued to pursue her interest in adult education, working for the Stockholm Folkhogskolan and with employees of the multinational company, Eriksson .

Since returning to New Zealand in 2000, Bronwen has worked for a variety of institutions including CPIT in Christchurch and more recently as Director of Studies and Principal at Bridge International College of English in Auckland.

As the newly appointed Campus Manager for SBG Cromwell, Bronwen is excited to be back in the deep south facing the challenge of setting up a new campus in such a beautiful location.

She is also looking forward to the opportunity of pursuing the kind of personal hobbies she loves, such as skiing, hiking, boating and water-skiing, for which the area around Queenstown and the Southern Lakes is famous.
